Great Weekend (cont)...

The great weekend continued today with bfast at McD... eh not really... actually we had McD bfast but tapau and had it at home...

Then as usual, while Mia was having her piano lesson on the second floor of SACC, I went shopping at Giant on the lower ground floor... I was trying to figure out what to cook for lunch when Amin suggested spaghetti... why not... so, spaghetti was our lunch today...

My secret recipe spaghetti sauce... dah di Malaysianised kan... the kids love it...

Amin... tak pandang kiri kanan dah...

Amin said the next time he will be allowed to come home is a month from today... tak pe lah, I will go visit him every Sunday and bring his favourite food...

Great weekend

Great, simply great weekend...

Why? A few splendid things happened...

No 1 - 2 people that owed me money paid their debts. Alhamdulillah...

No. 2 - Amin came home for the weekend - which means all my kids are at home... what more can mummy wish for..

We started the weekend by having dinner at Ani Sup Utara on Friday night... again? yes again... because Amin was not home last week. When he heard we when there last week, he said "Not fair!!! You guys went when I wasnt home..." So. to be fair, we went again. Of course the other kids did not protest. But before we went there, I made a quick stop at Shah Alam Mall to get myself a one-foot subway... yummy!!!

I cooked lunch of Nasi Beriyani Bukhara Ayam on Saturday... Muaz had 3 servings I think... He complained that he had gained 4 kg last week... most kids would complain when their mother tak pandai masak... but my son complained sebab his mummy masak sedap, dia makan banyak and gained weight as a result... hahaha...

We spent Saturday afternoon discussing about the design of our "new home"...

And Saturday night we went to see a movie... Semerah Cinta Stiletto... not bad, but not so good either... sekelas lah dgn Malay movies yang lain.

But before the movie started, there was this promo for a movie by KRU that will come out in July - Hikayat Merong Mahawangsa - wow! nampak macam Hong Kong movie... must make a point to watch it nanti...

After the movie, I treated the kids to a late dinner at this restaurant that we never tried before - Miza Kopitiam - the masak pedas bawal (for me and Akim) and mixed vege were good, the tomyam (for Mia) was not up to her expectation... Sup campur (for Amin) was not bad but Amin said tak sedap (actually of all my kids Amin ni memang sangat memilih about makan)... black mushroom chicken chop (for Muaz) was delicious according to Muaz... Nabil didnt order anything to eat, he said he was full from the popcorn and potato chips that he ate during the movie... he just had iced milo...

And right now we are still up (except Muaz) - watching a movie on TV3, Mermaids... a story about 3 daughters of Poseidon looking for their father's killer...

Tomorrow we plan to have breakfast at McDonalds... and I dont know yet what to cook for lunch...

The weekend will end later in the day when I drive Amin back to his school at around 5pm... sob sob...

Hm... Great weekend indeed...

(photos of the kids? the kids dah bosan nak bergambar... hahaha...)

What a Sunday (cont)... 11 April 2010

Putrajaya... my mother passed away at Putrajaya Hospital in 2003. Since then every time the name Putrajaya is mentioned, a lump would automatically form in my throat... I would try my level best to avoid going there, if not because of work, I'd never go there...

But last Sunday, after we left Amin at his hostel, my kids suggested that we went there... I was outvoted by 4 to 1... what to do... but fortunately, he (the kids' daddy) didnt drive past the hospital, may be he could read my mind. Thank you... this time you did something really thoughtful...

We just took a slow drive around the capital city while admiring the scenes... and of course took some photos... here are some of them... Most of the photos were taken using my mobile phone, we forgot to recharge the camera battery...

Akim and Nabil raced and Nabil fell... He cut his knees and cried like a baby...

... and merajuk, because he said it was Akim's fault that he fell...

My handssome son...

Are you sleeping... are you sleeping brother Akim brother Akim...

Looking into the future bro?

... meantime... Nabil still merajuk...

I pretended to scold Akim to make Nabil feel better... but Akim pulak ended up crying... aduhai... lotih den...

Yang sekor ni dah naik minyak dah...

Pujuk-pujuk at last Akim gave me a big smile... that's more like it...

Nabil and Akim berdamai... kakak Mia was the mediator... caya lah kakak...

Apo lak kono eh jang....

My 3 littlest angels...

Mia just couldnt stop admiring her new crocs...

One special pose by Nabil...

Akim...

Akim again...

Mia looked like she has put on quite a bit of weight... since she was appointed as the house cook... hehe...

kalau pasal posing... bagi la kat anak mummy ni...

Some poses of mummy and daddy...

What a Sunday...

What a Sunday... never had this busy Sunday in a loooooong time....

Started with a visit to Pasar Tani Mega Shah Alam... I think this is my 4th or 5th time going to the Pasar Tani despite having been living here in Shah Alam for over 20 years off and on... I was quite high spirited before we (me, hubby, mia, akim and nabil) reached there, but once the car was parked, I remember why I very very very seldom went there... the area the pasar tani covers is so huge, the sun was really hot despite being so early in the morning, and the place was so crowded... phuh!!! I was sweating... and sweating is not good for me while I still have a bandage on my back... it itched like mad... ouch ouch ouch ouch...

Nevertheless, despite the heat, the itch and the crowd, I had a good time. I had nasi kerabu... I havent had nasi kerabu for quite a long time... and it was delicious. I must remember this particular stall because I'm definitely coming back here later...

I only remembered to take the picture when half was already gone... that's how good it was....

We walked from stall to stall in the heat and among the crowd... Look at these yummy delicacies.. kalau ikut hati memang mati... oops, nanti tak pasal2 ada org happy... :)

Lemang oh lemang... I wish...

and aduhai ketupat palas...

There were more than just food... I got myself a croc sandal... so did Mia and her daddy...

And at the croc sandal stall we bumped into an old friend's son Azam. The last time I saw him he was a student and GMI (German Malaysian Institute), now he has already got 2 sons (4 and 1 year old)... my my... how time flies... he calls me Acik Ani, which means his sons should be calling me nenek or opah... oh no...

Stuff animals/soft toys... nasib baik Akim and Nabil didnt see this... hehe...

We went to many more stalls but it was getting too hot that I lost my mood in taking photos. When my watch showed 9am, I had to rush everyone, as Akim was due for his Azan class at 9.30 am at the masjid near our house.

I had a breather for a while before sending Mia to her piano class at SACC at 12pm. While waiting for her, we (Muaz and me) went shopping for Amin's stuff at the Giant supermarket on the lower ground floor of the shopping center.

While we were getting ready to leave home (at around 1pm) to visit Amin, he called and requested that we came a bit later because he wanted to catch a nap for a while... imagine that... kalau dah keje esok macam mana lah budak ni agaknya. Imagine ya.... kita nak visit dia, and he said... datang lambat sikit la ya... Amin nak tido dulu.. Sabar je la...

So, I used the time (about 2 hours) to do some gardening... gardening at 1pm? Yup, gardening tengah hari buta. I just needed to "sweat something of my mind"...

We finally went to visit Amin at 3,30 and reached his school about 45 minutes later. I didnt hear him complaining about the school, the dorm, the toilet or his fellow dorm mates or class mates anymore... I guess he is well adjusted to the school already... Lega...

We celebrated Muaz's birthday today (the actual birthday is on 12 April) there at Amin's school...

On the way back the kids wanted to visit Putrajaya... so we went there, pusing2... took some photos before heading back to Shah Alam... Adoi letihnya...

I'll upload putarajaya photos in another entry later...
