I had to go to our KL branch today to audit (internal audit) a program which will be audited by MQA next week. The office is at KL Central, so KTM Komuter is a very convenient way to go there. Plus I dont like driving there because of the spiral parking... I once scraped the bumper of my Toyota while driving up the spiral parking... Urgh... That was the only one time that I drove to that office...
I was caught in the morning rush... that's no surprise because I had to catch the train latest by 8am in order to reach KL Central before 9am... and I'm not complaining either as I've done that many times before this, either to attend meetings, audit or to attend my PhD classes which were held at our KL centre before the main Shah Alam campus was open.
But the train ride today was a bit eventful as I sort of created a 'scene'... unintentionally though.. it was very spontaneous...
I was lucky, despite the morning rush hour, I manged to get a seat 2 stations after I boarded the train. And the seat was the long seat along the window and I was sitting at the very end. There was a couple standing next to me, they couldnt be more than 20 years old. The guy was hanging to the yellow strap, and the girl was holding to him very tightly... And the backpack, which the guy had on his back kept bumping my head. Of course after some time I got irritated, but still I told them nicely:
"Excuse me, your bag is on my head".
The boy leaned a bit at me (while the girl continued to hug him very tightly) and said "apa dia?" to which I repeated what I said earlier:
"Your bag is on my head".
The boy suddenly said to me with a raised voice... "Cakap Melayu la..."
And guess what happened.... spontaneously, unplanned, without thinking, with a raised voice too, I said to him:
"Oh... Melayu rupanya... ingatkan org putih sebab tak malu dok berpeluk depan org ramai..."
The girl immediately let go of him... and I saw everyone around was looking at me and the couple... OMG... I was thinking... was that me who said that.... Hahahaha....
After that the girl stood jauh sikit from his boyfriend and I just sat there like nothing happened, took out a book from my bag, and read... actually pretended to read... adoi...
The Chinese lady who was sitting next to me just smiled at me... before she got off at one station before I got off, she smiled and said... "Bye, have a nice day"... I just smiled... but laughing hysterically in my heart... hahaha...
Adoi... may be it's about time I gave up riding the train... berasak2 tu really got to me agaknya, that's why tiba2 macam separuh mengamuk tu... malu pun ada, but I'm glad the couple stopped doing what they were doing after I yelled at them... hehe...
So, young couples... beware... if u board the train, and Auntie Hani is on it... dont ever try to create mushy mushy scenes... because I'd create a bigger and more memorable scene for you... :)
